From a distance, when we look at Thimphu, everything seems so fine. We don’t expect a dirty toilet in the capital of the country. But when we come in, Thimphu is no better than any Dzongkhag.
We are happy to share the news of the next phase of our school toilet project in partnership with SHND and Save the Children. We begin the 2nd phase from Thimphu so that we can point at the capital as an example.
Thimphu is the 9th Dzongkhag on our list.
The training is conducted in Jigme Namgyal School where at least 8 units of toilets are upgraded as part of the practical session. Some 185 units of toilets will be upgraded to over the next weeks in 13 schools.
