We are touched by hon’ble MP Surjaman Thapa’s warm gesture in receiving us at Sunkosh Bridge to his Dzongkhag. He heard the news of us coming to Dagana and waited on us to welcome us and express his gratitude for bringing the project to his dzongkhag. He offered his home for our stay.
In the short moment in Sunkosh, we exchanged valuable insights on sanitation and explored the possibilities of taking sato pan into rural toilets. We told him how we could work with MPs on that front.
Meanwhile, we are happy to report that all schools in Dagana, except a few in the high-risk zones, are trained in upgrading toilets using SATO.
Some 160 units of toilet will be upgraded in 26 schools in Dagana and 5 schools in Tsirang over the next few weeks. We are grateful to Dagapela MSS for hosting the training. We owe it to our friend Biren Chimoria for arranging our logistics on your home turf.
We are coming to Trongsa and Bumthang next. The project is supported by GPE through Save the Children International- Bhutan Country Office and Sherig Bhutan+7
