With 22 SATO pan installers trained in Haa from 8 schools, some 130+ old toilets will be upgraded to Sato toilets within a week or two. A variety of old toilets ranging from pit latrines to drain toilets and aqua-privy toilets were present in Haa schools.
As part of the training, participants upgraded 11 units of old aqua-privy latrines in Gongzim Ugyen Dorji Central School today. This special program is a collaboration between UNICEF Bhutan, Sherig Bhutan and BTO.
